IBI’s BioFlash system is based on the CANARY® (Cellular Analysis and Notification of Antigen Risks and Yields) technology, a revolutionary pathogen detection technology developed by the scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory with the assistance of $23M in DARPA, DOD and other funding. This platform delivers extremely rapid detection of pathogens at previously unseen levels of sensitivity and specificity.
IBI obtained an exclusive license from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for several fields of the CANARY® technology and has pursued clinical diagnostics and environmental detection of biothreat pathogens.
