IBI has developed several monoclonal antibodies (“mAbs”). In 2010, the company began a clinical study of a diagnostic biomarker, using one of its mAbs, to detect Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), a hospital acquired infection.
In July of 2011, the company initiated a second clinical study to detect Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA).
With its proprietary library of monoclonal antibodies, IBI is expanding its collaborations with Biomarker Discovery Companies to identify further preclinical candidates that are disease specific.
